Bailey

Bailey is our Welsh Pembroke Corgi. Sadly we lost him to lymphoma on 5-10-2011. He was almost 13 years old. He was our first family dog and Corgi. We fell in love with him instantly when he was just 8 weeks old. There is no breed like a pembroke and we look forward to having one in our life again.

WE LOVE YOU BAILEY !!

Thunder Chaser

We had a bad thunderstorm here last night. There was no barking in the house even though we still have two dogs. These two are scared of thunder and run for the nearest bedroom to hide. Not Bailey though, he would run the house barking like crazy. Don't know how he thought he was going to herd the thunder but that never stopped him from trying. Sometimes he would get going so fast that he couldn't stop and would slide right into the front door. =]  We really missed him that night, but times like that always get us talking about all the great times we had with our Bailey.

thanks for your kind email, I am so sorry about the loss of Bailey; what a cute looking corgi!! I bet he liked the snow!! Koda did when we lived in Montana!

thanks for sharing your experience with lymphoma and Bailey. It is a difficult decision to pursue chemotherapy but I'm sure you made the best decision similar to how we made our decision.

Koda's lumps were under his neck; we noticed them in October 2010 but didn't think too much of them, put them on the back burner since we were moving in January. He kept doing a lot of itching and finally after we got moved and tried everything we could to stop the itching, we took him to the vet. They took six samples and all six were lymphoma. He had just turned six in December so we knew we had to try chemotherapy.

We keep trusting God but am glad for the time we have with Koda!

I look forward to reading your blog and hearing of your past adventures with Bailey and your new adventures with your next corgi! Too funny that Bailey liked thunderstorms; Koda is like your other two dogs, definitely afraid of them!

again, thanks for your kind words!!!!

the corgi community is really a good one here on Blogger; I'm sure you'll find a welcomed place here!
